Hello everyone I got a request to talk about different kinds of TV in Japan and in particular Hikari TV (Internet TV) and what it is like. Basically it runs off IPv6 Technology and my standard internet is still using IPv4 so there is no slow down on my normal ordinary internet at all. It has a lot of channels to choose from too. Very easy to set up.
The picture is always crisp clear and almost all channels are in HD, not to mention its not that much at all (about $43 a month? or 3500 yen) and offers video on demand as well. You can also link up a HD to the setbox and set it to copy stuff (forgot to mention that in this sorry). And it never cuts out in thunderstorms etc, unless the power blows out. Another bonus is if you want to watch the free to air TV but don't have an expensive digital TV antenna and don't want to buy one then you can get the free to air TV through the hikari set box.
If you have any questions please let me know and I will get back as soon as I can. You can also choose between english and japanese on a lot of the channels which is really handy.
