A brief overview of the findings of the 2008 Drayton Hall Archaeological Institute, including the foundation of a circa 1740s wall that once connected the main house to one of the flanker buildings as well as the foundation of an earlier house on the site, dating to 1680-1710, making it one of the earliest known house sites excavated in South Carolina.
