Some favorite performances that I experienced in Japan whilst there in August and September 2010.
Part 1 contains: -a clip of the "all-valve 50s stereo" system @ New Aquarius, Shibuya, with dub pumped through it. -then, the resident shakuhachi player at 蟹の道楽, "The Art of Enjoying Crabs", near the Asahi Tower, Tokyo. -there is then an overlapping segue to some live Smegma + PeterB music with visuals of Tokyo Shinjuku Central Park (known for its homeless population). -Then we observe, Mr. Suzuki's wonderful ultrasound hanging circuits. Gotta get him out to the eastcoast. -Finally, there is a segment on synthesizing Japanese summer cicadas, performed at Loop-Line Tokyo, and Shoto Koen, Tokyo.
