This is me, Sleepy American, experiencing a Severe Extended case of Cataplexy induced Sleep Paralysis/Status Cataplexus--just one of the four debilitating symptoms of Narcolepsy. Most people whom experience Sleep Paralysis only experience each episode for only a few ,minutes and cannot move, at all... barely able to vocalize a screeching sound for help.

My case of Narcolepsy pretty severe, completely debilitating without medication.Though on medications I still have episodes of Narcolepsy, but am better able to keep standing when feeling extreme emotion, esp. laughter. Planned naps every few hours help stave off violent sleep attacks, and my Rx medications really reduce the paralysis from many hours attack a day to several less encompassing attacks each week. The Narcolepsy Network is a superior resource for anyone who want to know more or needs help, support, education about Narcolepsy and its potentially debilitating symptoms.

NO sleep paralysis is not Demonic Possession of any kind! I always cry to Jesus during and the only thing that HAS helped are SSRI Anti-Depressants which Suppress REM sleep and Xyrem... which helps consolidate better deeper sleep as well as control sleep paralysis, Hypnagogic Hallucinations, and Cataplexy.

Add Narcolepsy to the Social Security Blue Book. http://tinyurl.com/hbc3xh7

To those accusing me of faking this video...I wish you were right, that my narcolepsy was fake, that the severity of my symptoms exaggerated... I could have taken back my youth... my Masters degree, ability to drive, the ability to safely feel emotion(cataplexy) however, I only post the real deal, I take .. look it up XYREM at a huge dose... and Effexor XR as well as Provigil to combat the sleepiness, Cataplexy, Sleep Paralysis, Hypnagogic Hallucinations every day. With medication, my extended sleep paralysis episodes happen once a week, the rest are shorter, and if lucky, not as terrifying. http://www.sleepyamerican.com/
