I thought the 1st one was pretty good, but the story quality has definitely gone down since then. Retribution was much better in 3D because it distracted from the lack of plot.

i live in a foreign country and i can attest to the ATROCIOUS taste in film that casual moviegoers who are non native english speakers have.. bad effects and cheesiness are pretty much a requirement for a good time in the majority's opinion, and it is PAINFUL to see that such bad films are so popular here. my ex's sister dragged me to the latest die hard, and when it ended they were praising it for having awesome explosions... UGH

Oh boy Chris knows his source material. Michelle Rodriguez is in this movie because she was in the first movie where she turns into a zombie and dies but in this movie she is cloned for those simulations that Alice in going through, the little girl is not a hologram she's a clone, and Jill Valentine is a villain but not by force because in Resident Evil 5 she is controlled by a device that is attached to her chest and is controlled by Wesker which is why she's the villain from both the game and this movie but in this movie she is controlled by Umbrella and obviously her device gets removed so she can become normal again. Either way the movie is terrible the games are better.

Googled this movie... first link I read... "Jill Valentine is being mind controlled by Umbrella through a scarab device attached to her chest" .. Just like in Resident Evil 5... literally the first link I read... Kinda lost some credibility now after you said she's a villain for 'some reason'......
