Catherine MacLean of Massachusetts, who exemplifies the word survivor. Listen as this she describes her journey facing aplastic anemia from age 4 to becoming a teenager. She talks about how a volunteer from AA&MDSIF helped her parents explain her disease to her as a child in terms she could understand. Perhaps youve read about Catherine in past issues of the e-Insider; she has raised over $10,000 from the crafts fair she has organized over the past decade. We all congratulate Catherine on her high school graduation and wish her well as she pursues her college education. This story was filmed at the 2008 AA&MDSIF Patient & Family Conference.
