Framnes was a small passenger boat that normally went to local traffic between Drammen and Christiania. Framnes measured 110 feet in length and had space for 128 passengers . On the last trip 30 November 1914 , the ship had no passengers on board but Framnes was traveling from Drammen to Oslo with a cargo of timber and paper. The weather was very bad this day with strong winds and rain and , and the ship had too much and too high load that resulted in the vessel tipped over and sank. The crew had enough time to get in the lifeboats and rowed after the accident to land. Framnes sank by Svelvik ,outside Drammen , and the captain of the ship was later fined a hundred and fifty dollars, which actually was a big fine at this time . The wreck of Framnes was localized by Nordic Explorers and magazine Diving at the summer of 2004 with the help sonar .at 115 meters
