The moving house project from HAB1 to HAB2 was completed by end of May, except for one big item -- the 32tons submarine UC-3 Nautilus.

Moving the submarine requires a lot of free area to maneuver heavy equipment, and the area around HAB1 and HAB2 sees heavy use as a concert area. Therefore we had to postpone the operation until a gap in between concerts in the area.

Even though UC-3 Nautilus is stripped down for painting and engine room refurbishment, and therefore only weights approx. 30 tons, it is still a fair bit more than our own 6 tons wheel loader can handle.
So we engaged a Kalmar truck and its crew from a neighboring company.

Today was the day.

At 0900 we manned our positions, and at 1100 the submarine was sitting on its foundation blocks outside the HAB2 workshop.

Swift and competent work from our kind neighbors did the trick. What a lovely Kalmar truck.
