Marion town leaders react to a freak accident that left a driver dead last month. The tree came crashing down on a moving car on North Main Street on January 15th and killed Scott Elliott. The city wants to cut down the entire bank of trees where this happened. It's about 125 yards of thin woodsthey want gone. As the city found out in the last month, it's not that simple. Marion town officials say they don't have the authority outright to have the trees removed, but they are trying to coordinate with the parties involved to make it happen.
