Due to the recession, a lot of businesses have been forced to shut. A once thriving city has suffered badly due to the previous Government and greedy and irrisponsible bankers. I hope some of them take a look at what they have done to this and other towns and cities in Ireland then take a good look at themselves. The reason I made this video was to bring to peoples attention the sad situation that Waterford is in. What you see here is only what you would see yourself if you took a walk into town, and if ONE person sees this and can do something to bring an end to the demise of a once thriving, beautiful city centre then I have done my job. If any of you has been to Haight Ashbury or Camden after closing, you will see what a massive difference art, murals and tasteful grafitti can do to lift an otherwise empty or closed property. There is nothing worse than seeing a gaping empty hole full of cobwebs and smashed glass where traders are still trying to survive. So please SOMEONE please get a grip on this situation and bring back a bit of colour at least to this once beautiful historic city.
