The project ‘We All Love Burt Bacharach’ is an Album of 13 tracks and it was conceived and produced by Giampaolo Pasquile and Michele Garruti for PLAY Records based in Milan & Oracle Records Ltd a London based Label.
The album it's been recorded in Los Angeles by Massimo Colombo, one of the greatest european Jazz pianists who has arranged it and played Piano in all the tracks.
Some of the greatest Jazz musicians in the world take part and feature in the Project, names as Peter Erskine (the famous drummer of the legendary Weather Report, and a number of other world class Acts such as Diana Krall, Joni Mitchell to mention a few), Bob Mintzer (renown for being ‘Yellowjackets’ saxophone and clarinet, as well as a former member of the legendary Buddy Rich Big Band, and boasting prestigious collaborations with the likes of Jaco Pastorius, Joni Mitchell, Bill Cobham etc …) & Darek Oles, one of most appreciated double bass player in the world. The singer is Kathleen Grace, known and refined folksinger from the West Coast, while Michael Stever is on Trumpet’s duty, considered to be the new "white cat" of Jazz.
The album was mixed and mastered for iTunes in HD by Giampaolo Pasquile at PLAY's studios in Milan.
Musically it is "environment" Jazz but not pure Jazz, nor niche, but in a pleasant and refined key that makes it accessible to the general public without, however, yielding to any compromise on quality. In fact, it ranges from Latin to Swing, from Funky to cool Jazz, Be-Bop and down to Ballads. The choice of a Folk voice instead of Jazz voice, was dictated by the need to realize the Album not as a Jazz Album but as a work in which Jazz is just one of the stylistic elements.
The Album is on pre-order on iTunes from 17th October, Digital release is set to be on Friday 4th November.
The Album will also be released on CD and will be available throughout Europe in November.
