The Douglas Company built 16,079 DC3s type aircraft, the first one flew on December 17th 1935. This short film is based on a true story of a DC3 that was built for the US Air Force and found its way abandoned in Guyana. Of the many DC3 that was built for the USAAF, this one with serial # 19759 served in the USAAF during world war 11 and carried a tail plate 43-15293 .It was later sold and re-registered as NC50312 then sold again and registered as VP-GAF while serving British Guiana Airways, and later changed to 8R-GAF. It was finally registered with Beach Airways as 9Y-TDY, made its last flight to Guyana and left abandoned for over 30 years. On December 7th 2009 it was converted to an Aviation Museum and school Tour Facility. Film by www.stantongomes.com
