Voices of Washington performs John Bartlet's Madrigal "Of All The Birds That I Do Know" Concert: Delta Towers Senior Apartments August 22, 2010
In some ways, madrigals were the original pop music. Madrigal singing was meant to be a social event, easy enough for anybody who could read music, but difficult enough so that people would feel as though they'd accomplished something by singing it well. Few madrigals ever had more nudges and winks than 'Of All The Birds,' probably the dirtiest madrigal of all madrigals.
