A training conducted by the Evelyn Frank Legal Resources Program of New York Legal Assistance Group on April 4, 2013.

Although originally presented for NY CLE credit, NYLAG is not accredited at this time to provide CLE credit for viewing this recording.

At the time the training was scheduled and the materials were prepared, the Evelyn Frank program was part of Selfhelp Community Services, but became part of NYLAG effective April 1.
Presenter: David Silva, Esq., Assistant Director, Evelyn Frank Legal Resources Program

This training provides an overview of Supplemental Needs Trusts (SNTs) and how they interact with eligibility for the Medicaid program in New York state. Then it covers in detail the process of assisting a person with disabilities in enrolling in a pooled trust and submitting the required documents to Medicaid in order to eliminate the Medicaid spend-down and obtain the Medicare Savings Program.
