Wild Tales Full Review Transcript:
Wild Tales received an Oscar nomination for Best Foreign Feature, and you can see why- it's original and funny and dark and exciting - it's an absolute blast to be honest. What's unusual is that this is actually six tales, it's what they call an anthology movie these days and it's all about people who effectively lose it: so there's a guy who's a demolition expert who finally loses it after his car is towed one too many times, a bride who discovers that her husband cheated on her on her wedding day and there's a waitress who has to serve the man who destroyed her family. All the ideas are full of wit and invention and originality it's a bit like a sort of Argentinian Tales of the Unexpected. Really great cast Ricardo Darin stars in one of them, and if you've never heard of him before you should check him out in a brilliant oscar-winning film called The Secret in Their Eyes and like I say it's just brave and daring and funny and sexy and full of revenge. It's presented by Pedro Almodovar and it has a lot of his flair and excitement, I just loved it.
