Following the assassination of Dr. Martin L. King Jr. & Robert Kennedy Mr. Rogers expresses concern about the impact of violence on children. This was at a time when the atrocities of war were broadcast on television. Every night news of the Viet Nam war was broadcast into people's homes. Concern was voiced that people would be desensitized to violence by watching so much of it on TV. Is the incivility and violence we are experiencing today the concerns and predictions from years ago coming to life? What do we need to do today to change the trajectory of this growing culture of violence for our children's better tomorrow? For more information on what might be possible now visit www.rope.org
