I transitioned for 7-8 mths before big chopping so I had about only 3-4 inches of new growth if that. My hair was breaking alot during my transition. I didn't know anything about natural hair. It took me over two years to figure out how to retain length. Once I was half way through year two, I started noticing more length retention . To find out more about my regimen which includes products and methods I use, please see links below! :) I don't take any hair vitamins. I personally don't believe that there is a magical pill to make your hair grow long. Once you develop a good regimen, stay consistent, you'll notice more length retention. I suggest trying to eat a little healthier, you should take a multivitamin, and drink more water. In the end, your routine with your hair care is going to determine how much length you can retain each year. :)
In this video my hair is blown out. I blow my hair out once every 1-2 months.I am now using the tension method to blow dry my hair. I am no longer using a comb attachment. I will be uploading my new blow drying method next week. :) Photos of this hairstyle: http://aliciajames.wordpress.com/2012...
