Horizontal Power Hours recording of a talk given on the Wesleyan campus by Tegan Eanelli, co-author of the new anthology about the militant queer anarchist tendency Bash Back, entitled Queer Ultraviolence. Tegan introduces us to the controversial idea that animated the existence of Bash Back: that queer and trans folks have a right and an obligation to use any means necessary to resist and avenge the violence of the heteropatriarchal white supremacist social order. In addition to sharing stories and communiqués from the book that illustrate Bash Back's short-lived but powerful existence, Tegan reflects on what Bash Back can show us about organization, identity, and politics.
