The San Diego Museum of Art's popular Summer Salon Series is back! This year's theme is, 'What does a city need?' The answers are not easy to come by and they are not always agreed upon, but they are part of an important conversation that applies to us all. In response to the exhibition Gustav Stickley and the American Arts & Crafts Movement, the Museum will spend 14 weeks examining the multiple answers to this question with the help of contemporary artists, musicians, poets, and speakers.
In response to this year's Summer Salon Series theme--What does a city need?-- the evening of July 7, 2011 will consider the idea of Green Space/Civic Space.
Natalia Calderón: Tracing Passers By Calderon's performance entails tracing the path of pedestrians in an attempt to study how public space is used by citizens.
