The more things change, the more they stay the same... unless you are this creative company. The Tanimura & Antle Artisan® Family is debuting the newest product and packaging for their expanding line at this year's PMA Fresh Summit in Atlanta, GA. The newest additions to the family are the Artisan Romaine and Artisan Boston lettuce. The packaging will feature similar designs but will be color coded to differentiate each leaf variety. Simple tips for preparation and usage will also be included, as well as recipe ideas and suggestions. CEO Rick Antle states, "Consumers look for fresh options when making food choices and we are responding to that need with a line of quality leafy green products that deliver farm fresh flavor, quality, variety and value."

Pink is the new purple, at least for this month's commended cause.
On October 14th, eight Frieda's employees will be trading in the company's signature purple for pink while participating in PMA's Live FIT 5K Run/Walk in Atlanta. "Team Frieda's" will be sporting pink shirts for Breast Cancer Awareness and in honor of their Vice President, Jackie Caplan Wiggins, a recent breast cancer survivor. Earlier this year "Team Jackie," formed by Karen Caplan, Ms. Wiggins' sister, participated in the TeamSpirit Breast Cancer 10K Walk in Long Beach, California raising close to $40,000 with 72 teammates in stride.

Its not very often that a new nut is introduced. Sanguinetti Family Farms is introducing Red Walnuts!
Sold shelled, in halves and pieces, and in a 7oz tamper-evident container, these all-natural red walnuts are a tasty addition to the walnut family. Red Walnuts offer a delicate redskin produced by breeding Persian red skinned walnuts with English Walnuts.
Although this is the largest red walnut crop in the world, they are in limited supply. The good news is that they will be harvested and ready to ship right before the holidays!
Rex Lawrence is managing their sales and marketing and reports that, "merchandising is key for this impulse-driven, seasonal holiday sale. People love the color, and are using them in baking, salads and holiday snack mixes."
