Willurei Kirkbright is an Aboriginal woman and an urban Indigenous Artist and film maker who practices in many mediums. She is a Wiradjuri woman who has also grown up surrounded by western ideals and popular culture. Willurei challenges the very limited general view of what Aboriginal Art can or should be. She owns and runs an Art space in Sydney. Plump Gallery, full of juicy concepts and ripe ideas, located at 240 Enmore Rd, Enmore. It is a not for profit organisation that she runs in a unique and unconventional way. Changing the standard gallery format. Plump Gallery exhibits interesting, thought provoking and challenging Art as well as events. Provideing a platform for minorities, the disadvantaged, the unheard voices and unseen talent.
