Grinnell College recognizes Kiah Williams and Adam Kircher, co-founders and directors of Supporting Initiatives to Redistribute Unused Medicine (SIRUM) -- http://sirum.org/ -- with the 2014 Grinnell Prize -- http://www.grinnell.edu/grinnellprize

SIRUM saves lives by administering the redistribution of surplus prescription medications to California residents who cannot afford their prescriptions. Since 2011 SIRUM’s pioneering online platform has redistributed nearly $3 million worth of unopened, unexpired prescriptions that would have gone to waste.

The largest prize for social justice awarded by a college, the Grinnell Prize is presented annually to leaders under 40 who have devised innovative ways to advance positive social change.
