In "Shedding Light on the Case" Holmes and Watson refer to standards that will ensure the safety of exhibited materials in the areas of lighting, temperature, relative humidity and pollution control. Though the exhibitor may have incomplete control over these factors, it is important to be aware of the established standards and to try to meet them as closely as economically feasible.
