Support the Lego Ideas Project for this ship!

When we took a cruise on the Disney Wonder to Hawaii, we realized we'd be "at sea" for several days, so we decided to build a model of our cruise ship out of Lego bricks. Its about 4500 pieces. It took part of about 8 days to finish, plus some planning ahead of time (no Lego stores in the middle of the Pacific Ocean).

As you can see, we built it on deck (by the Mickey Pool), where it was enjoyed by the other guests and crew.

Do to Poor Prior Planning, we hadn't thought of how to get a 4 foot Lego Wonder back to Seattle from LA on the airplane. Fortunately, the crew kindly offered to keep her for some reason. We agreed as long as we got her back when the real Disney Wonder got to Seattle :) Logistics got complicated, and when the Wonder got to Seattle, customs couldn't figure out which rules applied, so the Lego Wonder stayed aboard an extra week, detouring through Alaska on her way home.

I've been meaning to post this for a while, but things happened. I'll post more if there's enough interest. Enough viewers and I'll build the whole fleet!

It goes by pretty fast, but the dock on the port side is signed by Captain Fabian, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, Pluto, Lilo & Stitch!

The Lego Wonder's been to BrickCon 2012, and Emerald City Comicon (ECCC) 2013. Normally she is displayed near my office at Microsoft.
