Rabaa Adaweya residents trapped in their homes, as supporters of ousted Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi continue sit-in outside their buildings. For a month, Morsi supporters have been using entrances and gardens of the buildings surrounding Rabaa Adaweya square, using these spaces as their own private homes. Protesters' tents have increased since the beginning of the sit-in, so has their construction of public bathrooms stalls, tents and cooking stands in the area.
Residents of the Rabaa Adaweya area, fear for their lives, after some of the residents tried to reach an agreement with the protesters into moving their tents away from the buildings, talks which resulted in protesters fighting and hurting some of the residents.
