This promises to be one of my best uploads. The Story Of Stax Records. Probably in five parts, it tells the story of two white folk, Jim Stewart and Estelle Axton, who mortgage their house in order to open a recording studio for country and western music. Attracting, instead the likes of Rufus Thomas, Carla Thomas and Booker T. Jones, it became one of the great soul labels of all time. Unmissable!
Check out corporalhenshaw for lots more stuff like this. Look at the playlists for films on soul, country, blues, gospel and jazz. Tell your friends the guys from the motor pool are back!
