Andy Zhulenev, VP of Corporate Innovations SVIC discusses AI’s impact on industries.
As we all know the computer is an important source with opened eyes & ears. It can recognize the objects and can understand the natural language almost as good as people.
Now, nothing can stop computers in the way of learning. Many people compare AI with human brain & today AI does visual computer vision and natural language processing with human capabilities. AI is almost 1/3 of human brain capabilities.
Now, generally, if you look at chatbot technologies; AI today is at toddler level. It is similar to AI technology that works and optimizes the way to get towards the end goal.
We have a computing power that develops at an exponential rate. In coming years, there will be singularity point of time where AI & computers, in general, will actually be much more powerful than a human being.
We took some statistics when we were analyzing how AI will impact industries. AI in most cases is about to automate tasks that a human does today. Whether it is knowledge management or manufacturing.
In the US most people work in health care, then in retail, trade, accommodation, food, education manufacturing, and some other services.
We know that in healthcare, AI can do a lot by helping with Diagnostics, helping with treatment recommendations & helping physicians to do a better job. Highest employment is actually an administration job the US and that is being targeted by AI startups. 70% thinks sale jobs is a sort of high-end admin, coordinator for meetings & for communicating properly.
Today, in US people spend half of their income on food industry like in grocery stores and another half in restaurants. So, it is already an advanced sort of service industry.
Transformation is the coming destruction with self-driving cars & complete change of the transformation models from car ownership to car sharing.
In last, most of the professionals will highly automate with AI in coming years.
