This video covers the importance of formulating 3M™ Glass Bubbles by volume. Glass bubbles are low in density compared to other fillers and plastic resin. When using glass bubbles in a plastic composite or displacing fillers in a plastic composite, the density difference necessitates reformulating by volume percent. If reformulating is done 1:1 on a weight percent basis, two to five times more resin will be displaced resulting in potentially poor physical and flow properties.
