This is a spring time video of a buffalo scratching on a rock, in the mid morning. It was captured in the Camp Doris Campground, in the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, in Southwestern Oklahoma. Sights like this, including deer and elk, are common in the campground during the week. On weekends, the wildlife prefer to stay scarce. The Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge is a wonderful car friendly opportunity to view wildlife. In my opinion, it is second only to Yellowstone in its accessibility. There is ample camping, hiking, boating, fishing, climbing, and overall recreation. However, Oklahoma becomes very hot after about May. So plan your trip wisely.
