Gigmann TV episode two with Davy Knowles - "Now Or Never Again"

Gibson.com - Davy Knowles ranked No.6 in the Top Ten Modern Blues Guitarists Blog by Daniel Eriksson 10/05/2013

"Davy plays the blues with the sincerity of someone twice his age, just listen to his cover of the Blind Joe Reynolds song "Outside Woman Blues" from his first album Roll Away and the song "Riverbed" from Coming Up For Air."

Since 2007, Isle of Man born Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist, Davy Knowles, has enjoyed an extremely colourful and exciting career touring America and finding success with his first band Back Door Slam, then as a solo artist. Working and performing with well known artists such as BB King, Buddy Guy, Jeff Beck, Peter Frampton, Joe Satriani and Chad Smith, Davy has shared the vast wealth of experience that these artists have accumulated over the years. Playing to large crowds of thousands of people to appearing on Jimmy Kimmel to playing intimate venues, Davy is a versatile and incredibly gifted artist.

Whilst Davy was recently on Isle of Man to promote his up and coming "Island of Culture" - inspired film, "Island Bound", he kindly agreed to pay Gigmann.com a visit to talk about his career so far, the film and his soon to be released second solo album, "The Outsider". The album was crowd-funded through Pledge Music and will be released to the general public later in the year. Davy also performed an exclusive and intimate three song acoustic set for us, with a performance of a new song from "The Outsider" called "Catch The Moon And Run". You can see te session and interview by clicking here.

"Island Bound" is being produced by Isle of Man production company DAM Productions . We find Davy researching his Celtic musical roots back to the Isle of Man. His journey then leads him through to his adopted home of America and examines how Celtic music has influenced American folk music culture and how the new generation of folk artists are shaping the genre.

See below a recently released DAM productions rough trailer for the film.
