Snowdrops have finished flowering now but their foliage is still green and healthy, which is the ideal time to lift and divide large clumps. Very often you see snowdrop plants offered for sale at this time of the year as 'in the green' which means they are still growing. Dividing large clumps is a good way of spreading the plants around the garden and it is also revitalised old clumps by giving the bulbs more growing space.
