The KIN Rapid project for Kinshasa was introduced for the first time at World Expo Shanghai (African Pavilion) in 2010 by CitiLinks, AEC and Tongji University. The project aims to create a "Bus Rapid Transit" network for an informal metropolis of currently 10 million people (17 million people expected in 2025.) In 2010, the students of Tongji University (Industrial design) joined a Congolese team to make a workshop about the bus stations design and develop a future landmark for Kinshasa. The results were integrated in the exhibition "Kinshasa Vision 2025" during 6 months at World Expo Shanghai.
