Thomas Marzet is a culinary arts student that hopes to walk among the great chefs of the world. He knows his talents could take him to Paris, Rome, or Tokyo, and the passion he has for his craft is infectious. His is just one of many stories we were fortunate enough to tell for the Minneapolis Community and Technical College (MCTC) this Fall.
MCTC needed a way to connect with prospective students and highlight the quality of its programs, while showcasing its modern, downtown campus and the wide diversity of students that come to MCTC every day. But they knew that they also needed to connect with their audience on a deeper, emotional level.
Online videos featuring personal, interview-based stories from students and faculty allowed us to do just that. Fourteen MCTC programs were filmed on the campus by Jonathan Chapman Photography and his production team this past summer. Students from various programs were interviewed and asked to tell their story about the experience they've had in their area of study while at the College, and their hopes for the future.
Elemental brought these stories to life through a unique blend of live action editing and storytelling. Authentic, entertaining and inspiring, these are real stories from real people that connect the MCTC brand to its community on a deeper level.
MCTC has developed a new website this year where the videos will be showcased in a section called "Our Voices". They will also be using the videos to engage and interact with their audience on Facebook.
