Homeboy Industries, founded in East Los Angeles by Father Greg Boyle, runs the largest gangster rehabilitation program in the country. It is supported in part by the Dwight Stuart Youth Foundation, based in Beverly Hills, CA.

This award-winning short film was made by Samuel Harowitz, a graduate of the American Film Institute in Hollywood, as part of a recent scholarship competition sponsored by Philanthropy Project. The competition challenged America's best and brightest young filmmakers to create inspiring short films that showcases the innovative philanthropy of our nation's 72,000 charitable foundations.
