This is an Edison Bell Winner issue from the 1920s containing a recording from 1910, and it is a so-called "descriptive" recording, showing in this particular case a scene where the father is missing his son Jack on Christmas evening, and then he returns. It's all rather stilted and a bit overly melodramatically acted out and the descriptive recordings who were very popular in the childhood of sound recording more or less died out when the electrical recordings took over in the 1920s. I have no idea who the actors on this recording are, and would appreciate help finding out who they are. The author of this piece is called "Hesse", but that is all I know for now.
