We interview Emma Campion, (aka Candace Robb) the author of The King's Mistress, a novel about Alice Perrers, the notorious mistress of Edward III, king of England. Campion, one of the foremost scholars on Alice Perrers, has also written over a dozen other medieval fiction books under the name Candace Robb, including the Owen Archer series of English medieval mysteries. She spoke with Medievalists.net during the International Congress on Medieval Studies at the University of Western Michigan in May 2010.
