I had been wanting to do this for awhile, and finally found a program that can run on my CPU. The program is the free version of BSR Screen Recorder 5. I'll try to keep doing more of these from here on out, and may even stop doing the blog altogether. Anyways, here we go. I wanted to do a piece on Marvel Comics' Isaiah Bradley, as well as Patriot, his descendant. While trying to figure out what exactly I was going to do, I came up with the idea to do them both together, and add Josiah X into the piece. So, the first image in the video is actually the conceptualization I made in Sketchbook Pro, and used as reference. Using that reference, I started on Isaiah first. Outside of the shoulder strap & boot covers, I basically used the uniform from the comics. The pants specifically were just what I threw on him, as I couldn't find any consistent images, whether he wore the Cap tights, or standard issue WW2 combat trousers. The collar is also colored black instead of blue. The second picture is of Patriot. Again, the uniform is basically the comics version, with the boots just being a little wider, and parts of the blue a little darker. And the third character is Josiah X from The Crew. Most of the pictures of Josiah were basically him in the Captain America uniform, and I didn't want to just draw that. So, I found a picture of him with Cap's shirt, and regular street clothes, and drew that instead. Next, I started the emblem for Isaiah. This is the tattoo on he sports on his right arm, as well as his shield. After the emblem, I get the ribbon and other features before I move on to the shield itself. With everything done separately, I open them up in Photoshop, and combine them accordingly. Afterwards, I make Patriot's shield, and open it in Photoshop, along with Patriot. From here, I combine the two, as well as adding Isaiah's emblem to his collar & belt. I actually made a red, white, and blue background, but forgot to record it. It was boring and uninteresting anyway. So, with everything mostly done, I put the pieces in place, and resize as I want to see it. To end the piece, I open the picture up in Sketchbook Pro, and add the final shadows to finish it off.
