As you can see I have single player commands which I used to get the human with default skin (he has herobrine eyes because I added a little touch to it)

Basically what I did was download a skin from skindex saved it to my desktop.
Then I clicked on start typed " %appdata% " then went to roaming - .minecraft - bin - minecraft.jar - mobs

Once you open up the mobs folder pick which mod you want replaced for the skin you downloaded eg im going to pick a zombie mob to be replaced.

Just for an example say the skin is a hulk skin i will be making my zombies in minecraft look like the hulk.

To do this just rename the zombie.png file in the mobs folder to anything eg EAIOU and then the " Hulk " skin to zombie.png then drag and drop into the mobs folder.

Once dropped into the mobs folder it will automatically be called " zombie.png.png " just take out one of the " .png's " so it will look something like this " zombie.png " once that is done just start minecraft, look for a zombie and it will be the hulk (depends on what skin/mob you decide to use)
