The Furman Paladins grabbed a 1:0 victory over the College of Charleston on Tuesday, October 2. The long goal was scored by Coleton Henning who curled a shot around the keeper from 25 yards out.

The Paladins dominated much of the game making 19 shots, 6 of which were on goal. This was the Paladins' first conference game. As such, it was testy and saw emotions flair at times.

This win continues Furman's 8 game unbeaten streak and improves their record to 8-1-2. The Paladins are currently ranked No. 22 and have scored 26 goals this season.

Furman next plays the Elon Phoenix in Elon, NC on Saturday, October 6 at 7 PM. Elon are 7-2-1 and have beaten nationally ranked opponents such as Charlotte and West Virginia. The Paladins look to repeat their 3-1 thumping of Elon as they did in the 2011 regular season.
