http://StirlingBuilder.com - This is engine #2 from the book, "Three LTD Stirling Engines You Can Build Without a Machine Shop". The engine is running on the ambient heat from a 63 degree F room, with a small ice pack on the cool side of the engine. The pressure chamber contains room air. It is capable of being filled with Helium, but for this video is was not. The addition of Helium will increase the speed of the flywheel by 10% to 15%. This Stirling engine can be built for less than $30 using simple hand tools and a little patience. Please visit the StirlingBuilder website for more information about this engine and more like it.
