Harriet Tubman is one of our most heroic icons in American History. In making this film, we all collaborated with a vision to bring Harriet into our present society in hopes that her commitment to emancipating our people would transcend time and open the eyes and minds of some of our most confused young people today.

We are currently seeking wide distribution in educational markets such as schools and universities both domestic and international while staying open to mainstream markets as well. The release of this film on youtube is meant to expand on the numerous film festival screenings by celebrating Black History Month and sharing this story with the entire youtube community.

We want to promote change through dialogue and entertainment that spurs action around our never ending pursuit of happiness. We want to uplift our young men as we pay homage to our ancestors and bridge the ever widening gap between their perceptions of reality and the reality of their perceptions. We want to empower our elders and leaders to take actions that uplift our communities and share their wisdom and experience with our youth in ways that nurture in place of those that destroy.

Please enjoy our short film and leave us a comment of your thoughts about Harriet Tubman, other great American hero's you love, or even just a simple critique/commentary on this film.

Sincerely, Marquis Smalls and the entire Harriet Returns team
