Lane, Full Trisomy 18 at 5 years 11 months old, playing with Mimi.

Lane was diagnosed with a rare chromosome disorder called Trisomy 18 (Edward syndrome). I was told when he was diagnosed at 3 days old, that his diagnosis is considered 'incompatible with life' and that he wouldn't live a week. Lane is now 5 years and 11 months old, and is doing great! I've learned on this journey, that with time, he is hitting milestones when he is ready...on his own time! I might add...that Lane is living life and is as happy as can be, even living with an un-repaired heart condition because of being denied at birth due to his diagnosis.
