KINGSTON, Jamaica – News broke on Thursday that the spate of violence in the Capital City has put a strain on the Kingston Public Hospital, forcing the nation's largest health facility to postpone elective surgeries.

Meanwhile commuters in the Corporate Area were on Tuesday warned to be on the alert for a grey Mazda Demio motorcar being used as a taxi, but which has aboard armed men who have been robbing unsuspecting passengers of valuables.

And in Sport, the Reggae Boyz, during a courtesy call at the Sport Ministry prior to their departure for the CONCACAF Gold Cup in California on Thursday, called for better practice pitches to put the team on par with other international players.
