HD, if you'd please

I finally got around to organising my TT footage, so I thought it'd be best to take them out for a test drive AND finally make a video for one of my rarely treasured but favourite cartoon role models: Starfire.

Okay, so first can I say the 'Troq' is one of my favourite TT episodes? Because it is. And it deals with racism and prejudice in an accurate manner for a kid's cartoon. So a huge part of this thing is a tribute to the episode as much as it is a tribute to Star (and maybe also NoDelinquent's badass way of editing as well as her driving need for RobStar coughcoughcough)

Okay, so first of all Starfire is an all-powerful and strong female character, both in the literal and personal sense. Her powers are amazing and used wisely, but Starfire herself is incredibly brave. She struggles with body image, nearly marries herself off on behalf of her planet, one that she hadn't been in contact with for probably years, has to stand up against her own sister yet at the same time loves her completely, AND has to fight against her best friend, before she chooses that she'd rather die than end their relationship. All before saving the life of and putting up with the non-stop prejudice from a galactic hero. Points there.

AND ALL THIS TIME she is the most optimistic, polite, and selfless creature on the planet. She's constantly putting the needs of others before herself and cares for complete strangers, even if she doesn't fully understand the situation due to the huge language/cultural barrier. She tries so hard in everything she does, but at the same time is assertive enough to speak up for herself and other people.

She's never ceased to look gorgeous in everything she does, which is a miracle in itself, and her goofy ways are just adorable to love. She's like if puppies and kittens could have a baby with a mango tree, then learn how to lift seventeen times worth their weight. I don't know how it would work, but I'm guessing Starfire probably does. /END RANT.

Right now during the last school year and as I touch up on old DC cartoons, I've really come to realise just how much I want to embody Starfire. She's a great person to look up to, regardless of fiction, and I'd like her 'boundless confidence' every now and then in case of emergencies. So yeah. Ultimate gal-pal and high school role model. c:

I tried to avoid making this a RobStar video and instead focus on all the challenges that Star goes through in the series and how she handles them, as well as how gorgeous/flawless/funny/sugary-sweet/precious she is. Also, play with colourings. Also also, my episodes are in working condition. YAY.
