Looks WAY better, if you click on the lower right Youtube buttons, to watch in "full screen" and "HD" (except somehow my editor reduced the GoPro's excellent resolution). Oh well, full screen helps.
This was an intense crossing of Lk. Wa. on a cool and blustery May evening. It took just less than 6 min. to go from Marsh Park Kirkland to Magnuson Park in the Sandpoint area of NE Seattle (just over 2 miles). This video shows the fastest 4 min, set to (the band) Awolnation (and their song) Sail. It's an intense song, but I like the title and the cool sound (I've heard other windsurfing vids set to it). My fastest top speed was almost 28 mph... but all the rest of it, is between 22 - 27 mph. No, it's not close to a max speed record for me. But I've been windsurfing 30 years (since I was a kid :) and I've never had the chance to stay at a continuous decent speed like that, with no tacks, jibes or falling off a plane, for a solid 6 minutes. So, it was pretty cool for me :)
