Went down to work today to help start cleaning up. I was absolutely amazed to peer over the wall into the tunnel of the Inner City Bypass below our office to see it completely full to the top! Insane.
Grabbed a quick but of video of it. The fire engine at the entry to the tunnel had been pumping water out all morning and not changed the level at all. Later they put some massive pumps in and slowly started lowering the level.
Our office got off kinda lucky, we only had about 10-15cm of water come through. Enough to flood all of the power points, destroy the carpet, ruin a lot of archived newspapers and generally stink the place out.
Anyway, here's part of the ICB in the days following the flood.
