Kevin A. Slavin, MD, FAAP, pediatric infectious diseases, chief, Section of Quality and Safety at the Joseph M. Sanzari Children's Hospital, HackensackUMC was interviewed by the WABC Medical Unit for a story on the vaccine being offered at Princeton University in the wake of the Meningitis outbreak. Dr. Slavin discusses the side effects of the drug, Bexsero, which protects against the B-strain of the virus. He also discusses precautions people should take to protect themselves against meningitis.
