Criminals are out to take advantage of unsuspecting people by calling them and claiming to be a representatives of a government or law enforcement agency.

The so-called "Warrant" Scam is aimed at scaring would-be victims into believing there's a warrant out for their arrest. And according to the scammer, they will be sent to jail unless they pay money.

Watch this video featuring Sgt. Joe Ellis of the Sheriff's Financial Crimes Unit to learn how to avoid becoming a victim of the "Warrant" Scam.
