The Village of Lewiston celebrates the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812 by bombarding Canada with cannon balls! The nite began with a parade down the main street followed by two C-130's making a pass overhead, then a speech by President Madision. The the soldiers of the US army, including those from Ohio's Fort Meigs, loaded up the 6 cannon and spent 25 minutes blasting at Canada. A great fireworks show was also put on, with vertical and horizontal fireworks representing the invasion of Canada. Thanks to HistoricLewiston.org and Lisa Ohanessian for their help!
