Chromatic tuners are often mistakenly used as Bagpipe tuners. They are programmed for Equal Temperament instruments like Guitar/ Piano. The Bagpipes are of Just Temperament and this video shows the difference when detecting pipe chanter notes. You can see how a chromatic tuner deviates from the calibration point for notes other than A, where the HBT2 correctly aligns itself. Want to have great sounding pipes?
